Key Digits: Pen and Paper System

Key digits can be your secret weapon to master the Pick 3 game.

I will now explain how to get the key digits with just pen and paper.

This system will give you 3 key digits.

One, two, or all three of these 3 digits will usually hit in the next two drawings about 90% of the time.

I usually do this at night. The 3 key digits or keys are good for the two drawings of the following day.

You can of course experiment and do this on a draw by draw basis. However, I have found that it’s usually a good idea to give yourself the extra breathing room provided by that extra draw.

This system only uses the digits in the 1st position of the last 8 drawings.

For example if you use these 8 drawings: 908, 830, 364, 890, 886, 489, 474, 332……you would write down the 1sit digit of the 908 (9), the fist digit of the 830 (8), the first digit of 364 (3), and so forth.

When you are done you will have this: 9, 8, 3, 8, 8, 4, 4, 3.

Circle any digits that repeat. So circle the three 8s and write it on the side. Then circle the two 4s and write it on the side. Then circle the two 3s. The 8 goes on top because there were more of them than any other digit. Arrange the other two from the lowest to the highest; 3 and then 4 so the three key digits here are 8-3-4.

If you would have used RB3 you would have gotten this:

8 numbers used: 908 830 364 890 886 489 474 332

RB3:

8 3 0

3 8 4

4 0 2

Those are the three digits on the first row; 8-3-4.

Here is another example; 174, 332, 302, 780, 012, 405, 836, 882.

The digits in the first position are 1, 3, 3, 7, 0, 4, 8, 8.

It helps if you arrange them from lowest to highest; 0, 1, 3, 3, 4, 7, 8, 8.

Circle the two 3s and 8s and write them on the side. Now look for the lowest of the remaining digits. The lowest digit left is 0 so the 3 key digits here are 3-8-0.

Another example: 311, 701, 347, 887, 180, 909, 635, 344.

The digits in the first position are 3, 7, 3, 8, 1, 9, 6, 3. Circle the three 3s and write 3 on the side. No other digits repeat here so now you are just looking for the lowest digit left which is 1. The next highest digit in value is 6 so the three key digits here are 3-1-6.

Last example: 635, 344, 139, 498, 930, 710, 148, 366

The digits in the first position are 6, 3, 1, 4, 9, 7, 1, 3. Circle the two 1s and write it on the side. Now look for the lowest digit left which is 3. The next highest digit in value is 4 so the three key digits here are 1-3-4.
